After successfully pulling off cons for a few years, the main character runs afoul of the law in a messy bank robbery, forcing him to take shelter in a seemingly normal phone booth. The year is 1985, and a nameless street thug starts looking to make it big in the life of underground crime. With an ample amount of action, player freedom, and some laugh-out-loud missions, Retro City Rampage DX is a worthwhile upgrade to a stellar retro title. To return back to the 80s, you'll have to search the futuristic Theftropolis, completing missions for a variety of gangs as you search for parts that will fix the phone booth. After discovering a phone booth capable of time travel, you are thrust forward several decades, trapped in the new millennium. Set in the city of Theftropolis in the mid-1980s, you play as a lowly criminal trying to work his way up the food chain. Retro City Rampage DX is an open-world action game played from a top-down perspective, poking fun at retro games and pop culture.
